If you are a golfer or want to be one, I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you on behalf of all the ladies in our golf association. The purpose of our organization is to sponsor regular and competitive events which in turn promotes fellowship a greater interest and enjoyment and the game of golf.
Our annual dues of $12.00, which are due each January, are used in various ways, i.e., improving the aesthetics of the club, inside or out, buying flowers for members and family members who are sick or in the hospital, tournament expenses, etc. Your dues should be sent to Pat Griffin, 4715 Heatherwood Drive, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405 or you can leave them with Holly at the Club.
Our competitive play begins in April and runs through October with Ladies Day every Wednesday. The tee time is 9:00 AM in April and October and 8:30 AM May through September . Each player puts up $2.00 every Wednesday and the winners of the game play are awarded cash at our Annual Christmas Party in December.
There are various tournaments scheduled throughout the year with prizes awarded. All ladies are encouraged to apply. The tournament's scheduled for this year are listed on this web site as soon as available.
We also have a Couples Twilight Golf outing monthly on a Saturday or Sunday evening. The times and dates will be announced in the monthly newsletter and on this website. Signup sheets will be in the club for two weeks prior to the date of the outing. This is for LGA members and their spouse or significant other and cost $10.00 per couple, which is given back to the winners. Everyone brings a covered dish and we eat after 9 holes of golf.
